Information Bulletin #2018-09 - How to Qualify for the 2019 MD Championships

How to Qualify for the 2019 ALLIANCE Hockey MD Championships

Qualifiers from the West MD League:
The Regular Season first-place finisher qualifies for the Tier 1 MD Championships hosted in London.  The other qualifier will be the MD West Playdown Champion.  If the Regular Season first-place finisher is also the West MD Playdown Champion, the remaining qualifier will be the West MD Playdown Finalist.  The next two seeded teams at the conclusion of the MD West Playdown Semi-Final Competition, will qualify for the ALLIANCE Hockey MD Tier 2 Championships.

The exception to this is at Novice MD where the Divisions are tiered 1 & 2.  Therefore, the Regular Season first-place finisher and the MD West Champion or Finalist will be the only teams to qualify for the MD Championships hosted in London.

Qualifiers from the East/Central MD League:
All Playdown Semi-Final winners will advance to the Tier 1 & 2 Championships Novice Tier 1 and 2 and Major Atom Tier 1 through to Bantam Tier 2.
